In lliuramnet, Porto Empedocle writer develops his plot follows his usual strategy of apparent simplicity, wrapping the police thriller with a history entretingudíssima customs parallel with a considerable dose of irony (with hilarious contribution of the ineffable character Catarella), which lead the reader to think that, after all, the mysterious case that represents Montalbano is a poor excuse to again deploy rich altarpiece of the corrupt, anarchic and yet delicious contemporary Sicily. Nothing could be further from the truth, however. Perhaps the main argument has the density of other previous deliveries, as Dog or terracotta Voice of the Violin, but it is undeniable throughout the thread of the story remains a mystery with remarkable strength, going to the heart of the contours anecdotal Bear with a mastery of which only Mr. Camilleri is the book you can not fall out of their hands inconsistent. A story also has a background as an upheaval in the love life of imported Commissioner. For more clues, you start reading. Oh, and one memorable paragraph that reinforces self-esteem of those who say that are not goseu readers empedreïts the thriller: "After eleven was to read a novel by thieves and Serenoa two Swedish authors that husband and wife were very entertaining and did not pass on page not loading and deservedly strong against the social and government. Spent reading all those people who are unworthy to read detective novels because they say noomés is inconsequential a hobby. " It is said.
(Postscript: the most vicious of the novel that the thieves and Serenoa sure you know that the Swedish authors who were husband and wife are Söwall Shift To Wahlöö and the parents of Scandinavian noir so fashionable today and precursors of Mankell, Larsson, Jungstedt, NesbÃ)
